After a three week experiment in the Amazon cloud involving the following activities:
- running one c1.xlarge instance for 18 days
- running a second c1.xlarge instance for about 10 days
- transferring about 1 Tb of data into the cloud
- running a parasol cluster job with 4 AMI instances for about 4 days
- creating four snapshots of data
- creating several AMI machine instance snapshots
- misc. other small instances for short periods of time
