Master's Degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Göttingen, obtained through the International Max Planck Research School Molecular Biology (2009-2011). Master's Thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Diethard Tautz and Dr. Tomislav-Domazet Loso (2010-2011).

Currently, PhD student in the group of Evolutionary Genetics (Tautz) at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology in Plön, focusing on the study of orphan (taxonomically restricted) genes and their emergence in mouse.
