I am a NIEHS T32 postdoctoral fellow in Environmental Genomics in the department of Preventive Medicine at USC. My PIs are Drs. Ite Laird-Offringa at the Norris Cancer Center and Carrie Breton in the Department of Biostatistics. My primary research interests include fetal programming and gene x environment interactions underlying preventable disorders in children. I am presently investigating inflammatory disorders of the respiratory system and how risk is impacted by genes x epigenome x prenatal exposure x air pollution. I graduated with a PhD in molecular toxicology from UC Berkeley and had a first postdoc at Mount Sinai; at both institutions I studied birth size, puberty, and endocrine disruptors as breast cancer risk factors.
